Bank Holiday – Relax
As we approach the final bank holiday before Christmas I thought it would be good to take a break from the serious world of commercial finance and offer a lighter tone to start the weekend.
My pet hate, and I am equally as guilty as anyone else, is poor grammar. With a teenage daughter who uses the word ‘like’ before every verb and throws in the odd double negative for good measure you can start to understand where I am coming from!
On a serious note, I once had a client referred to me because the lender had declined them based on part due to the poor grammar in their business plan. The lender’s rationale was well founded, if you won’t focus on getting the business plan right then what would you do if the business starts to struggle. Fair point.
For now back to the bank holiday grammar.
